Prior to that, Mark was Program Director of the Los Angeles office of Taproot Foundation and grant writer for Barlow Respiratory Hospital.
Before shifting to the nonprofit world in 2009, Mark had a successful 30-year career in marketing and advertising at Ogilvy and MindShare providing marketing and advertising insights for a number of large US and global clients.
Mark is a pro bono consultant, providing guidance on strategy, communications, website design and grant writing for several local nonprofits, including Pasadena Community Foundation and Jericho Road. He loves the work done by the Convalescent Aid Society and joined the Board in 2016. In addition, he is on the Board of Journey House, which provides support for former foster youth, and Grandview Foundation, which provides substance abuse assistance.
